Chris' day 3
Well, If you haven't kept up with the news, then you don't know that Chris Dallmann has returned from New Orleans, simply to straighten up his room- kiss his mom "farewell", and return to the Gulf Coast for a period of no less than 90 days...
That's a lot of blogs, people... I hope you are up to the challenge of reading them, because Chris is up to the challenge of serving the Lord on your behalf.
In the photo above, Chris appears to be saying " I can almost see New Orleans from Here"... The truth is that it was a really sunny day, and he was squinting,,, but we can dream, right? The bottom line is that while he serves, we are comfortable at home.
While we pray, Chris is away from home, serving.
While we sacrificially donate our money to helping in New Orleans, Chris is sacrificing his personal finances, his personal time, and his Life for the Lord.
While we watch the evening news, Chris is making news, changing lives and being changed himself, by the work of the Lord.
What led up to this? well, there was a hurricane, and then God moved in the hearts of the people of a little church in Woodruff, WI. About 49 people went to New Orleans and had their lives turned upside down, and Chris was one of them. Most people went back to work, wondering how they can still be used by God here in Minocqua/Woodruff, Chris didn't wonder, he just went back to continue serving in Louisiana.
Way to go, Chris!
Last Sunday we had a time of sharing at church, for missionaries recent to both Peru and Louisiana. It was awesome: I completely believe God was there, leading the way. Here are some photos of the evening. -click to enlarge-

1Timothy 4:12-16
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. o not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

I'm praying for your work! Glad Chris got there safe and sound. Tell him his favorite neice misses her favorite uncle! :-)
